Mrs. R. S. Montague, a resident of Collingsworth County 67 years, died in Thomas Nursing Home Tuesday, January 6, at 9:45 p.m. She was 90 years of age.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church and of the Woodman Circle. Most of her activites, however, were those of a neighbor, helping her wide circle of friends wherever she might be needed.
The former Annie Keller, she was born May 28, 1883 in Johnson County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George J. Keller. She was married to R. S. Montague August 12, 1900, at Cleburne, and they moved to Wellington in 1906.
Surviving Mrs. Montague are a son, Sgt. Major Raymond S. Montague of Taipei, Taiwan; three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Bledsoe, Mrs. Marie Ball, and Mrs. Hubert Leach; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Mrs. Georgia Montague Hardy, wife of Gerald Hardy, preceded her mother in death.
