Mrs. F. H. (Homer) Kesler, a long-time resident of the county died at her home southeast of Wellington about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17. Mrs. Kesler came to the Kelley community with her parents in 1904, and it had been her home since then. For many years she was an active force in the school and church life of the Kelley community, as well as in those interests that were for the upbuilding of her area. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Born Naomi Dell Lewis at Cave City, Ark., Dec. 31, 1887, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Lewis. After leaving Arkansas, the family lived several years in Stonewall County before coming here. She was married to F. H. Kesler Oct. 16, 1910 in the Kelley community.
Surviving Mrs. Kesler are three daughters and a son: Mrs. Walter Waldahl of Eagle Bend, Minn.; Mrs. Howard Rosenbaum of Abilene; Mrs. Grover Graham of Wellington and Elton Kesler of Lubbock. Other survivors are four sisters and a brother, Mrs. Daro Camp, Mrs. Cliff Camp, and George Lewis of Wellington, Mrs. Herbert McWhorter of Headrick, Okla., and Mrs. Joseph Ingle of Dallas. There are 9 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
