Hundreds of friends crowded the First Methodist Church to capacity as they gathered Tuesday afternoon, November 8, to pay tribute to Loyal Aaron, 28. Mr. Aaron died November 7, at 4 o'clock a.m., after an illness of about a week and a half.

In charge of the services were Rev. W.B. Hicks, pastor of the Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. J.P. Neal, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Hymns included "Asleep in Jesus" and "How Beautiful Heaven Must Be."

Pall Bearers were Zook Thomas, Lloyd Wooldridge, Harold Leach, Earl Keller, Dean Staton, and John Ben Castleberry. Flower bearers were Miss Dorothy McMinn, Miss Helen McMinn, Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, Miss Aurora Peach, Mrs. Earl Keller, Mrs. Ernest Harrell, Miss Maybe Ruth Clark and Miss Wilma Harrison. Interment was in the Wellington Cemetery with the Kelso Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Aaron was one of the most popular song farmers of the county, and made his home in the Cross Roads Community. His kindness and sincerity won him many friends and all those who knew him loved him and respected him. Taking time to do many little acts of kindness for his neighbors, he was rewarded by their friendship and admiration.

At the time of his death he was serving as a member of the Cross Roads School Board and superintendent of the Sunday School at that place.

A member of two pioneer families of this section of the country, he was born in Collingsworth County on January 22, 1910, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Aaron. He spent his entire life here and attended the Wellington Schools. On February 4, 1928, He was married to Miss Velma Mass, who with three children survive him.

At the age of ten years, Mr. Aaron became a member of the Methodist Church, to which he remained faithful throughout his life.

Aaron of Wellington; his grandparents, Mrs. John Aaron and Mr. and Mrs. P.L. Bartlett, all of Wellington.
