The pupils represented many different races and creeds. Brilliant minds and the opportunity to help many not in a position to become educated were sources of great joy to her. Small and deformed in body, her sympathies were worldwide. The dau of Abby Kelly and Stephen Foster, felt a very personal concern for the needs of others, especially along educational lines. She never married.
