Agnes R. Dague of Downingtown

Agnes Rose Valocchi Dague, 77, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at her residence.
She was the wife of the late Richard W. Dague, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.
Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late Serafino and Elizabetta Piccinini (sic)* Valocchi.
Mrs. Dague was a 1948 graduate of Downingtown High School, where she was a majorette.
She worked for Betty Brite Cleaners in Thorndale for eight years before her retirement in the late 1980s. Prior to that, she worked as a secretary for Chemical Lehman and was a school monitor and playground supervisor for the Downingtown School District.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Downingtown her entire life.
She was also a member of the Downingtown Senior Center and a Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by two daughters, Gail Markiewicz of Downingtown and Mary Beth Netz of Villa Grove, Colo.; a son, Richard G. of Downingtown; two brothers, Ben A. Valocchi of Downingtown and William B. Valocchi of Coatesville; and two sisters, Florence Pomento and Mary T. Bray, both of Downingtown. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Betsy, Travis, Kyle and Kevin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

*Note: Serafino , Agnes' father, had 2 wives , there is a discrepancy in the surnames of those 2 wives. Documentation is needed to back up the information of the 2 wife's maiden names. His first wife apparently died giving birth in 1914, to a son that lived. His second wife, in some places has the first wife's maiden name. Piccinini for the 1st wife, Richilini for the 2nd wife. More research needed!
