Fred E. Wright, 78, of North Platte passed away Nov. 30, 2007, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center.He was born Aug. 3, 1929, to Harold and Margaret Elaine (Bundy) Wright at North Platte. In 1947, Fred graduated from North Platte High School. He married Velma Peters on Jan. 21, 1949, at North Platte. Fred was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad and retired as a conductor in 1990. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member the Eagle''s Aerie 2839. He was a devoted husband and loved his time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Robert, Don, George and Jerry; grandsons James and Joseph Holz; daughter-in-law Cornell Wright and son-in-law Gene Huebner. Memorials may be made to the Callahan Cancer Center at GPRMC or to the Nebraska Heart Institute. Services were Dec. 4 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Inurnment was at North Platte Cemetery.
