Healdton, OK — .Memorial services for Mrs. Sharon Kay (Ivie) Wheelock, 61, of Healdton are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Healdton, with Kevin Pridemore officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.


Sharon was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Healdton, to the late Harold Loyd Ivie and Freddie Lou (Williams) Ivie. She departed this life Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Wichita Falls, Texas.


Sharon was reared in Healdton residing there all of her life. She graduated from Healdton High School in 1966. She was always a very loving mother and grandmother and brought joy to everyone that knew her. She was the kind of lady that always made you laugh. She had a very infectious laugh. Sharon loved to work in her yard with her favorite flower being a periwinkle. She also enjoyed reading and fishing. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Healdton.


Preceding her in death were her parents; infant brother, Michael; and brother, Gary Ivie.
Survivors include daughter, Jamie Edwards and husband, Michael Jr. of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sons, Shannon Thomason of McLoud, Okla., and J.R. Wheelock and wife, Mahle of Gillette, Wyo.; nine grandchildren, Taylor, Brendon, Preston, Hunter, Rylan, Hayden W., Hayden T., Patience and Makhya; and numerous other family and friends.
