"J.G. McSPARIN, 80, DIES AT HOME OF SON IN STONEFORT
J.G. McSparin, 80, Stonefort, died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday at the home of his son, Carlos. Death was due to a heart ailment and infirmities of age.
Born near Stonefort, McSparin had spent his life in that vicinity where he was a prominent farmer until his retirement a few years ago. He had nine children, eight of whom survive him. A daughter, Gladys, preceded him in death.
Surviving are: James Harry McSparin, Talmage, Calif; William Claude McSparin, Berkley, Mich.; Mrs. J.P. Reid, Carbondale; John G. McSparin, Jr., Metropolis, Paul I. McSparin, Carrier Mills; Charles Eldon McSparin, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Carlos Lee McSparin, Stonefort; and Russsell L. McSparin, Carrier Mills.
The funeral will be held at Zion church, east of Ozark, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery."
