Sarah Elizabeth Rose, daughter of Micajah and Elizabeth Rose was born May 5th 1856. Died October 21st 1930. Age 74 years, 5 months and 18 days. She was married to James Wilson McSparin, Sep. 28th 1880. To this union was born five children, Hubert, Lillie, Wesley, Edwin and Lois, all of whom are living, except Edwin who preceded her in the year of 1916. She professed faith in Christ at an early age and tried to live a true Christian life. She leaves to mourn her departure, a husband, four children, two step-children, Lura and Susie, two brothers George Rose and Wesley Rose. Several grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Sutto of New Burnside at Zion Church where interment was made with the present[sic] of a large congregation of sorrowing relatives and friends.
