MRS. J. T. WISE, 74, DIES SUDDENLY AT HER HOME
Mrs. Lillie Jane Wise, 74, wife of J. T. Wise, died suddenly about 9:15 a.m. at her home 400 East McIlrath. She had not been ill but had been in failing health and for several years had suffered with hypertension and a heart ailment.
Mrs, Wise was born near Goreville in Johnson County, July 12, 1876, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Hudgens, and married Mr. Wise in New Burnside, March 3, 1895. They moved with their family to Harrisburg more than 32 years ago. She was a member of the First Methodist church and of Pride of Arrow Rebekah lodge No. 234.
Surviving besides her husband are her sons, Claud and Howard Wise, Harrisburg, and Carl Wise, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Barbre, Mt. Vernon, four brothers, John H. Hudgens, Centralia, Claud Hudgens, St. Louis, Roy Hudgens, Chicago, and George Hudgens, Herod, and the following grandchildren: Mrs. Pauline Emerson, Fair Lawn, N.J., James Howerton in the air corps, stationed at Roswell, N.M, Robert Howerton, Herrin, Carlene Wise, Chicago, Ronald Wise, Evansville, and Jimmy and Penny Wise, Harrisburg.
A daughter, Mrs. Edith Howerton, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Gaskins funeral home where the body will repose in the chapel. Funeral plans are incomplete.

FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR MRS. J.T. WISE
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Methodist church for Mrs. J. T. Wise, 74, whose death occurred suddenly Wednesday morning at her home, 400 East McIlrath. The Rev. O. E. Connett, pastor of the Methodist church at Dorris Heights, will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. W. L. Cummins, pastor of the church. Burial will be in Robinson cemetery on route 45, between New Burnside and Ozark.
The body received by Gaskins funeral home, will remain in the chapel until the funeral hour.
