Son of William "Bennie" Still and Mary Etta Wellmaker. BZ had 6 sisters and 3 brothers. The family was proud of his cabinet making skills. Young Ben was only 23 years old at the time of his death. His death certificate states that he died of Pulmonary and Intestinal Tuberculosis at Battle Hill Sanitorium (TB Hospital)which was where he was treated for 2 years before his death on May 14th, 1930. His father, Bennie" preceded him in death on June 28th, 1923. He died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. His mother, Etta, also preceded him in death on Jan. 23rd, 1926. She died of Paralysis. While in Atlanta, Bennie and Etta lived with their daughter Edna Elzey and her husband, Julius Elzey.
