Donald Eugene Lovell, 72, of Charleston, a retired Navy commander, died Sunday at his residence. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel. Burial will be later in Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C. Mr. Lovell was born in Solvay, N.Y., a son of Harry Lovell and Elizabeth Munch Lovell. He was a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association, the Military Order of World Wars, the Navy League, the Retired Officers Association and St. Andrews Rotary Club. He was Episcopalian. Surviving are his wife, Regina Causey Lovell; and a sister, Harriet E. Curtis of Phoenix AmericanMemorials.com
