Raymond Hal Bonnin, 64, of Olney died Oct. 26, 2001, at his son's residence in Burkburnett.
Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. in the Spring of 2002 with the Department of the Navy officiating.
Mr. Bonnin was born Oct. 18, 1937, in Alhambra, Calif. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1978 after 19 1/2 years of service. During his military career, he served in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was also a veteran of the atomic weapons testing during 1956 while assigned to the USS Knudson.
Mr. Bonnin served with several local organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3906 in Olney, where he was the post commander for seven years, and the Marine Corps League where he served as Chaplain.
He is survived by his mother, Ollie Belle Bonnin of Olney; a daughter, Ollie Belle Sincal and her husband Luis of Corinth; two sons, Raymond Hal Bonnin II of Denton and Daryl Lee Bonnin and his wife Paula of Burkburnett; a sister, Cecelia Elder and her husband Jermico of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; a brother Frank Bonnin and his wife Linda of Victorville, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother Robert L. Bonnin of Okanagan, Wash., in May of 1998
