Iris was a long-time resident of Dawson County and had an early career in nursing at the original Price and Black Hospital in Lamesa but decided to center her life around her family and friends. She loved fishing and camping and was a member of the First Methodist Church. Iris was born July 5, 1924 to Ernest Wilson Gregg and Effie Hodnett Gregg in Hale Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Billy Joe Bedwell, of Lamesa
She is survived by her two sons, Randy and his wife Carol of Boerne; Monty and his wife Darla of Stephenville. The joys of her life, her grandchildren, Dusty Bedwell and his wife Amanda of Waco; Kelli Raymond and her husband Josh of Stephenville; Jeff Bedwell and his wife Lauren of Robstown, and Kendra Bedwell of Stephenville.
Pallbearers are Rick Corley, Ricky Cude, Jim McCormick, Rienhart McKinney, Tony Scott and Johnny Shook.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to First Methodist Church of Lamesa.
