She is survived by her children, John Adams of Gainesville, FL, Cathy de Paoli of Cary, NC, Robert Adams of Los Angelos, CA; two grandchildren, Lesley Paige de Paoli Miller and Dante Michael de Paoli. She is also survived by her loving siblings Joan Buning and Jim Schaeffner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Leslie R. Adams of Jacksonville, Florida. Norma was a long time resident of Jacksonville, FL and moved to Cary in 2001.
In addition to being the mother of 3 children she also managed her husband's medical practice for over 30 years. Norma was an avid and gifted learner.
She had a passion for the arts which led her to become very involved with the Jacksonville Art Museum, now the Museum of Contemporary Art. This provided her with many wonderful friendships and the opportunity to travel the world and pursue her love of art.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd., Cary, NC. A celebration of life will immediately follow the service.
