Charles Morrow, 83, died about 6 o'clock last evening near his home in Wayland from a heart attack suffered on his way home. He had made his usual trip downtown in the afternoon.
When he did not return home at his usual hour, Mrs. Morrow sent a neighbor girl, Audrey Roth, 10, downtown. They were on their way home when he became ill. Audrey ran for Mrs. Morrow, but he died before his wife reached him. He had suffered from a faulty heart condition the past year.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:45 at the home and a service will be at the Wayland Methodist Church at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. E. J. Shook. Burial will be at Green Mound Cemetery.
Charles Morrow was born March 8, 1857. He started farming when a young man and after his marriage continued to make his home in the Trenton community from where he and his wife moved to Wayland over 15 years ago.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Albert Monson and Mrs. Frank Burk, both of the Trenton Community.
