Sarah Frances Becton Stubbs, 89, of Hahira died on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. She was born in Brooks County on September 25, 1922 to the late Gordon and Fannie Shiver Becton. Mrs. Stubbs was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and was retired from the Lowndes County Schools Lunchroom Service. As a loving Wife, Mother and Grandma, she was a homemaker and love to work with her hands to create a warm and loving home. In later years she enjoyed the opportunity to quilt with the ladies at Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Patricia and James Simpson, Brenda and Paul Reaves, Jr., one son and two daughters in law, Harry and Carolyn Stubbs all of Hahira, June Stubbs Carter of Adel, twelve grandchildren, Johnny (Nancy) Stubbs, Sandy Murphy, Blake (Kimberly) Stubbs, Cindy (Jason) Webb, Randy (Michelle) Simpson, Linda Ellenburg, Jenny (Jim) Norris, Laura (Terry) Watford, Joy (Joe) Stalvey, Stacy Stubbs, Keith (Jennifer) Reaves and Reuben Reaves, twenty eight great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Stubbs was preceded in death by her husband of sixty two years, T. A. (Buck) Stubbs, two sons, Frank Stubbs and Ashley Stubbs and one daughter, Harleen Stubbs, three brothers and five sisters.
