14 Jun 2014: This memorial page has finally been passed to me to manage and I am honored to now have my 2nd great grandfather's findagrave legacy at a point where I can contribute this meaningful verse.

William Grundy Tucker, born in Mar 1856 lost his father Joshua Johnson Tucker two months later in May so he was raised entirely by mother Lucinda (Thrasher) Tucker. In 2013 I visited Hopkins County and had some disappointment returning only with a copy of his Jul 1884 Marriage Certificate to Mary I Pool. It is so sad that both his and her parents grave sites can't be located in the surrounding cemeteries. I found a school record for father Johnson in 1854 or 5, but so little is known about this farming family that I fear the evidence is like so man of the relatives graves - likely unmarked for posterity or any legacy at all.

Any help is greatly appreciated locating the graves of his parents or his wives:

Johnson Tucker 1810 - 1856
Lucinda Tucker 1818 - 1890

Francis Marion Pool 1833 - 1881
Savilla Pool 1835 - 1881

At least we know Lucinda's Rev. War Father Robert Thrasher is listed on the unmarked graves plaque in the cemetery just south of town!
