Ellie Ruth Salter Gibson
Funeral services for Mrs. Ellie Ruth Salter Gibson, 92, of Molena, were held Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at 3 p.m., at Beulah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary Hately and the Rev. James Wilson officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Gibson died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Heritage Inn Nursing Home. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Gibson was born on Feb. 2, 1915, in Stoval, Harris County, Ga. She was a lifelong resident of Lifsey Springs, Ga., and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She had attended Emanuel Baptist Church. In 1977, at the age of 62, with 22 years of service as a seamstress, she retired from Playtex Corporation. Survivors include her son, Rev. Franklin (Maxine) Gibson of Milner; granddaughters, Angelyn Tipton of Columbus and Mary Goggins of Barnesville; four great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Salter of Meansville.
