Funeral services for George W. Hatzenbuehler, 81, of 5600 East Side, a Dallas resident for 78 years, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Weiland-Merritt Funeral Chapel, 2909 Live Oak.

The Rev. Klahr Raney of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. James Niles of the Church of our Saviour, Episcopal, will officiate. Burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park.

Hatzenbuehler died Friday in a Dallas hospital. He had been ill a year.

A native of Mascoutah, Ill., Hatzenbuehler was employed by the American Railway Express Company for 35 years before his retirement in 1941.

He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian, Woodmen of the World and the American Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.

Survivors include three sons, John E. Hatzenbuehler, Palestine; George W. Hatzenbuehler Jr. and Howard Hatzenbuehler, both of Dallas; seven daughters, Mrs. E. B. Crosby, Lewisville; Mrs. B. E. Barker, Tyler; Mrs J. C. Vaughn, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Joseph I. Hungate, San Antonio; Mrs James E. Miller, Mrs. H. A. Mueller and Mrs. R. W. Bailey, all of Dallas; brother Phillip Hatzenbuehler, Dallas; 25 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
