Mrs. Nannie Lou Hatzenbuehler, 67, granddaughter of Col. T. C. Hawpe, Confederate veteran and one of the early Sheriffs of Dallas County, died Sunday night at her home, 5600 East Side Avenue. She had been ill a year.

Member of a pioneer family, Mrs. Hatzenbuehler was born in a log house on Hawpe Lane which ran through her father's farm. Hawpe Lane now is Junius Street and the farm later became Munger Place and Junius Heights.

She was married in 1893 to George W. Hatzenbuehler, who survives. Surviving also are seven daughters, Mrs. Lillian E. Crosby, Lewisville; Mrs. Paule Barker, Tyler; Mrs. Anna Mae Miller, Dallas; Mrs. Lenna Irene Vaughn, San Francisco; Mrs. Katherine Bailey, Mrs. Hazel Dean Miller and Miss Betty Lou Hatzenbuehler, all of Dallas, and four sons, Frank H. Hatzenbuehler, San Antonio; John E. Hatzenbuehler, Palestine; George W. Hatzenbuehler Jr. and Cpl. Hollis Howard Hatzenbuehler, both of Dallas.

Four sisters, Mrs. Zula Price, Mrs. Ethel McCutcheon and Mrs. Electra Yeager, all of Dallas, and Mrs. Cora Belle Gakin, Mesquite, and a brother G. A. Hawpe, Dallas, twenty grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
