On July 7, 1863, Isaac S. McIntosh of Unadilla, Livingston County, died of disease at Yorktown, Virginia. He had enlisted into Co. B. 26th Michigan on August 15, 1862, at the age of 20 and transferred to Co. G. on December 12, 1862.
26th Michigan service included: Camp Jackson, Alexandria, Washington, Suffolk, (they were then traveling through Yorktown and would be sent to the New York Draft Riots)
