Death Comes to Sister of Mrs. Mitchell

Mrs. Charles (Gracie Pearl) Strole, 77, of Olney, a sister of Mrs. Coral Mitchell of Newton, died last Thursday morning in her home.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Summers-Marshall funeral home in Olney, and burial was in Haven Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Strole was a native of Jasper County, the daughter of Benjamin Anderson and Minnie Ebbert Anderson.

She was married to Charles Strole in February 1916 [actually, 19 Mar 1916.

She was a retired school teacher, having taught in the public schools of Jasper and Richland counties. She lived for many years in the Passport community where she was active as a leader in 4-H work. She was a member for many years in the Sunnyside Friendly unit of Home Extension and a member of the Abcderian Club.

She leaves her husband, Charles; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Roberta Strole of Olney; a sister, Mrs. Coral Mitchell of Newton, and a brother, George Anderson of Pensacola, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Russell and Ben Anderson.

Mrs. Charles (Gracie Pearl) Strole, 77, of Olney, a sister of Mrs. Coral Mitchell of Newton, died last Thursday morning in her home.
