Willie Paul Abercrombie, 76, of Soso, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Centerville Baptist Church with burial in Centerville Cemetery in Soso. The Revs. Steve Smith, John Hilbun and Robert Hilbun will officiate.
He was a veteran of the Armed Forces and a retired supervisor from Wayne Poultry. He was a member of Centerville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramsey and Ora Loudema Mitchell Abercrombie; seven brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kathryn Abercrombie of Soso; a son, John Mark Smith and his wife, Rebecca Lynn Smith, of Centerville; two daughters, Mary Belinda "Bebe" Head and her husband, Ron Head, of Florence, and Susan Dianne Pitts and her husband, J.B. Pitts, of Centerville; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
