Born on January 31, 1960 in New Orleans, Michael was a member of the US Merchant Marine. He was a captain for LaBorde Marine for 8 years, he also worked for Tidewater Marine, Bruce Boat Rentals and Arthur Levy Enterprise. Micheal enjoyed exercising, but he was most passionate about cooking and sharing his recipes with others. He loved baseball and helping with Little League Baseball. Michael never met a stranger, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Lillian "Lil" DeRouen Jambon; his son, Jacob Paris Jambon; his daughter, Hillary Sigue and husband Lance, all of New Iberia; his father, Larry Jambon of Youngsville; his brothers, Alan Jambon and wife Laura of Henderson, Kieron Jambon and wife Linda of Youngsville; his sisters, Judy Baudoin and husband Lynwood "Jo-Jo" of Lafayette, Teena Sparks and husband Wade of Houston; his grandchildren, Tyler Morvant and Juliana Sigue; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eugenie Broussard Jambon and his wife's mother, Lillian DeRouen.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Scripture readings and prayer will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
