David Joseph Hottinger was born on June 24, 1992 in Oroville, California to John & Donna Hottinger. David passed away on August 3, 2009 at the age of 17 in Oroville, California. David attended Oroville High School and was on the Golf Team there for 3 years. He worked at Table Mountain Golf Course and attended Oroville Church of the Nazarene. David's hobbies included woodshop, auto shop, being an avid golfer, Lakers fan, Giants fan, Bronco fan and his favorite celebrities were Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant. David will be remembered by family and friends as witty and kind, a young man everyone loved. He was a meat and potato's kind of guy.

David was preceded in death by his grandmother Patricia Powell and brother Shawn Michael Powell.
A viewing was held on Sunday August 9, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Ramsey Funeral Home. A Celebration of David's Life was held on Monday August 10, 2009 at 9 AM at the Oroville Church of the Nazarene. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oroville, CA
