Melissa Caine, 16, of 7349 W SR 256, was transported to the hospital directly from the scene of the accident by StatFlight helicopter.
The driver of the 1993 Suzuki motorcycle on which Caine was riding was Jason B. Cosby, 20, of 2501 Cragmont St. was transported to the Kings Daughters Hospital from the scene with injuries, then transferred to Humana University by StatFlight yesterday.
Following a probable cause hearing, these charges were filed against Cosby; Reckless driving, Reckless Homicide, Illegal consumption of alcholic beverages and no motorcycle endorsement.
Melissa was born Dec. 8, 1977 in Madison, the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara Moore Caine. She was a janitor at Meyers & Sons Manufactoring Co., and attended the North Madison Church of Christ.
Surviving are her parents, one sister, Angela Caine of Madison. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
