Services for Steven Lamont Walters, 14, will be at 2 pm Saturday in Gans Funeral Home with burial in the Springdale Cemetery. He died at Kings Daughters Hospital yesterday after the bus-truck crash.
A life long resident of Jefferson Co. He was an A student at Madison Consolidated Junior High School. He was in the ninth grade. He attended Manville Christian Church and Central and Michigan Road Schools.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie Walters; a sister, Brenda Kay, at home, his grandmothers, Mrs. Janie Walters and Mrs. Hattie Bunner, both of Madison; and several aunts and uncles.
Steven was one of five students killed in the bus accident that day. Janet Kessler, her brother, Ernie Kessler, Brenda Burchfield, and Susan Kendall.
