The funeral for Ruth Elizabeth Hubbell, 46, of Frederick, Md., will be held 2 p.m. today at the Frederick Church of the Brethren.
After the service, the body will be brought to the McMullen Bridgewater Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today.
Then a graveside service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Oak Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Thomas Geiman and the Rev. Eugene Smith.
Mrs. Hubbell died Friday afternoon at Frederick Memorial Hospital, where she had been a cancer patient for a week.
She was born Dec. 23, 1933 in Bridgewater and was a daughter of Elmer L. Huffman of Bridgewater and the late Ina Miller Huffman.
She lived in Charlottesville before moving to Frederick seven years ago.
Mrs. Hubbell, a member of the Church of the Brethren, had run a private school in Frederick for four years.
In 1954, she married Harold G. Hubbell, who survives.
Also surviving are two children. Debra Jean Callahan of Frederick and Donald G. Hubbell of Bridgewater; her step-mother, Susanne Flory Huffman of Bridgewater; two sisters, Virginia H. Medici of Florida and Eleanor K. Fiegl of New York; four brothers, Elmer L. Huffman Jr. of New York, Dr. Dale Huffman of Alabama, and Charles R. and Joseph Huffman, both of Texas; and a granddaughter.
