Nelson was the son of Clyde E. Wood and Dorothy Cullember Wood. As a single parent he raised two children; Michael S. Wood & Lisa D. Wood. He was the eldest of five children. His siblings are Shirley A. Wood Truelove Robertson, Donna L. Parkinson Koermer, John H. Wood & Patricia A. Wood Wright Cantor. Woody enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing base guitar, singing with friends and he always had his head under the hood of a car. As friends (and family) well knew, Woody always lived his life to the fullest!
