PORT JERVIS - Christian G. Boehmler died at his home on South Maple Avenue after a brief illness, Saturday night. He was born in Germany, June twentieth, 1884, a son of John and Gottlieb Shiele Boehmler, but came to the United States as a child and lived here the greater part of his life.
During the last twenty-three years Mr. Boehmler had been in the coal, feed, and farm Machinery business. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Metauque Falls Sportsman's Club, Tri-States Hose Company, New York State Fireman's Association and the Hudson Valley Volunteer Fireman's Association which he served as Orange County vice-president.
Surviving are his wife, who was Miss Margaret Fuhrberg; his mother; two daughters, the Misses Adeline and Dorothy Boehmler of Port Jervis; a son, Charles, of Port Jervis; three brothers, Paul, Charles, and William, all of Cahoonzie, and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Paus of Floral Park, L.I., and Mrs. Clara Chant of Port Jervis.
Funeral services will be held at his home at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow when Rev. H.C. Meyer will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush.
