Willard L. Hicks was born July 29, 1917 and departed this life Saturday, November 8th, 2008 reaching the age of 91 years. He was the son of the late Flem Hicks and Mary Catron Hicks.
He is survived by: 2 sons, Dallas Hicks and Jerry Hicks, both of Monticello, Kentucky;
4 daughter, Ann Denny of Spencer, Indiana, Remona Sexton of Albany, Kentucky, Cathy Sexton of Monticello, Kentucky, and Rebecca "Becky" York of Mt. Washington, Kentucky; 1 brother, Robert Hicks of Maitland, Florida; 2 sisters, Eva Davis of Monticello, Kentucky and Lola Kingston, of Maitland, Florida.
He is also survived by: 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, as well as a host of family and friends that mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lena Hicks; 2 sons, Hollice and Joe Hicks; his parents, Flem and Mary Hicks; 5 brothers, Robert, Bradley, Alonzo, Odell, and Junior Hicks; and one grandchild.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, relative, and friend that will be sadly missed by all those who new him.
