Father of James Langston, Rhoda Langston; Sarah E. (Langston) Durham; William Jonathon "John" Langston; Edward Andrew Langston; Alice Idella "Ida" (Langston) Miller; Mary Eliza (Langston) Killough & Ophelia Etoy "Toy" (Langston) Eaton.

Great Grandfather Langston was an ordained Methodist and later a Baptist circuit preacher on the River Boats in Alabama & Tennessee. After moving to Northeast Mississippi he preached at several Baptist churches in Tippah, Alcorn & Prentiss Counties.

His wife Mary E. (Bragg) Langston, one of his sons Edward Andrew Langston and one of his daughters Ophelia Etoy (Langston) Eaton are buried in Oaklawn Cemetery, Wynnewood, Garvin County, Oklahoma.

The family lived in Scottsboto, Alabama and all worked at a basket company. They made fruit baskets for the area fruit growers. Eldest daughter Sarah married A. Pinkney Durham and stayed when the family moved to Tippah County in northeast Mississippi.
