Mrs. Joerger died at 6:45 pm Wednesday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital after a short illness. A native of Michigan, she had lived in the Fort Bend area since 1911. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was preceeded in death by her husband, F. X. Joerger, a well-known attorney, in 1950. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Guy L. McNutt and Mrs. R. W. Lindsey, both of Rosenberg; and four grandchildren, Sandra Kay, James Francis "Jim", Darrell Landes, and Mary Constance "Connie" McNutt of Rosenberg and two great-grandchildren, Deborah "DeDe" and Michelle "Shelly" Sullivan of Sugar Land. Note: (Molly Lindsey (1973), Ashley Lee (1977), and Clay Landes McNutt (1980), and Steven Trenton Stone (1986) were also great grandchildren born after her death.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Triska Funeral Home.

According to their marriage registration, F. X. was 31 years old and listed his occupation as lawyer, Mary Kennedy was 29 and was a dressmaker. They were married in Tipton, Indiana.

Her parents were James Kennedy (b. 1846) and Ellen O'Neill (b. 1854), both were born in Ireland. They were married June 17, 1884 in St. Claire, Michigan.

She played the piano and the violin.
