John Paul Steele, 86, of Huntsville died June 6, 2007, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. He was born April 22, 1921, in Wharton to Clarence Herbert "Bert" and Thursa Mae Inman Steele. He was a retired farmer and attended Huntsville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Emily Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Loyce A. Bolinger Steele of the home; one daughter, Nona Jackson and husband Rick of Berryville; three sisters, Stella Talbott, Almadean Reynolds and Ruth Cornett, all of Huntsville; two grandsons, Kyle Jackson of Bentonville and Andrew Jackson of Rogers; one great-grandson, Evan Jackson of Bentonville.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with Larry Combs officiating.
Burial will be in Wharton Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Craig Cornett, Jim Steele, David Russell, Tracy Thomas, Gaylon "Butch" Bolinger and Leon Lyman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Reynolds, Elmer Faddis, Dwight Steele, Eldon Hestand, Vernon Williams and Carlos Napier.
Memorials may be made to Relay for Life.
