Carl C. Collar, 96, of Beaver Valley Geriatric Center, formerly of New Brighton, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 1984, in the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center, where he had been a patient for over nine years. Born Feb. 19, 1888, in Canfield, Ohio, son of the late Aaron and Sarah Miller Collar, he was the owner of C.C. Collar and Sons Roofing and heating Company for over 40 years. He was preceded in Death by his wife, Elizabeth Miller Collar, in 1971. Surviving are a son, Carl W. Collar, Beaver Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Jean) Fair, Daugherty Township, and Mrs. Floyd (Ada Louise) Dean, Quail Hollow, Fla.; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A private service will be conducted Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, with the Rev. Jeffery Schock, of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Beaver Falls, officiating. Interment will be in Grove Cemetery, new Brighton.
