Memorial services for Sybil Newton Upshaw, 74, Young Harris, Ga., formerly of Tyler, are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Bois D'Arc Baptist Church, Bradford community.
Private burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, Anderson County, under direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.
Mrs. Upshaw died Dec.14, 2009. She was born Feb. 23, 1935, in Rotan to Martin Earl and Thelma Lorene Pierce Newton. She moved to Georgia in 1998.
Survivors include husband, Jerry Upshaw; son, Gregory Beaver; daughter, Cheryl Beaver; brothers, Wayne and Tom Newton; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
