Mrs. Elma Jay Bonham Boney, age 93 of Wallace, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Wallace conducted by Dr. Jim Baldwin and burial will follow in Brice Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Boney Myrick and husband Joe; one son, Gary Boney and wife Barbara, all of Rose Hill; four grandchildren, Heather Morrison and husband Jeff of Rose Hill, Gary Boney Jr. and Fiancée Ashley Maynard of Angier, Ashley Lovette and husband Beau of Wallace; three great grandchildren, Landen Nicole Morrison, Brayden Jeffrey Morrison, and Bryson Beau Lovette.

A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Boney is the daughter of the late Blaney and Hattie Henderson Bonham. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wallace and the SonShine Choir. She is preceded in death by her husband Leamon Boney.

The family will receive from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Monday at Padgett Funeral Home and at the residence of Gary and Barbara Boney other times.
