DIED: Mrs. Seaborn Augustus Jones died at her residence in Brothersville, Richmond county, last Tuesday. Her remains were interred here in the Waynesboro cemetery Thursday morning by the side of her husband and sons. Mrs. Jones was of northern birth, but after her marriage many years ago lived always in the south. Seaborn Augustus Jones was a native of Burke county, and there are many relatives of the family here now. Her funeral was largely attended. She was a lady of fine character and great intelligence, and for whom all had profoundest respect.

Seaborn Augustus Jones was born in 1818 and died in 1856.

He was married to Maria Law (Martha) and as a result of their marriage there were two daughters, Mary, who became the wife of Wm. H. Chew, and Ida, who married Philip Jones. There were also two sons, Thomas and Seaborn Augustus, both of whon died in early manhood unmarried. The oldest daughter, Mary, or Mollie as she was more generally known, died some years ago leaving two sons, Benjamin and Hull, and a daughter, Ruth, who is living with her husband in New Jersey. Ida and her children, George, Seaborn, Sydney (Renfroe) and Ruth, are living in Burke County.
