H. "Dennis" Phillips married Dollie P. Neely on March 22, 1908. Together they had at least one son and two daughters. Dennis died at the age of 25 years old leaving his wife with three small children who are:
Amos E. Phillips was born about 1909. Amos grew up and moved to Baton Rouge, LA. He never married.
Mae Phillips was born about 1910. Mae grew up and had two children and lived in Rogersville, Al.
Lestie L. Phillips Jackson was born Dec. 31, 1912 and died Feb. 2, 2004. She is buried in Russellville, AL. She had three daughters and one son. Lestie moved to California and was returned to Alabama upon her death.
Dennis is buried in the small rural "Poole Cemetery" close to where he was living when he died. His father James Edmond Phillips would faithfully visit and care for Dennis's grave every year until his death in 1956.
