Born on a Monday and is the son of Mathway Daniluke from
Ukraine, Russian & Carmen Moreno - Daniluke from Spain

Marciano, best known by family and friends as " Joe " as for me I know this very loving kind hearted caring man as " Dad ".

Growing up on the island of Oahu, Hawaii with his brothers and sister.

At the time of birth Hawaii was American Territory, not a part of the state of union.

Their father, Mathway Daniluke was an wealth engineer from Ukraine, later pass away from Tuberculosis, and is buried in Oahu.

Remembering stories of all the money he had brought with him, and later finding out it was all worthless in his new found land, every now and then we would hear how they all had bonfires and burnt the money.

Coming to California in 1933, with his mother Carmen and new step father, Albert H. Pohlpeter.

Only a few years after the "The Great Depression" was a severe worldwide economic depression in the decade preceding World War II The timing of the Great Depression started in 1930 and lasted until the late 1930's or early 1940's. It was the longest, most widespread, and deepest depression of the 20 th century.

For years we all heard from Dad and uncles that we all needed to put extra money away for a raining day. Just hearing the hardships of what everyone had to deal with on a daily bases was just sad . . . .

Having to help take care the family Dad and uncle Stanley became farm hands and started working in the fields and orchards up and down California. By 1936 he was hired on at Schuckles Cannery at 100 South Fair Oaks Ave. Sunnyvale, Ca. Also very proud to become a Teamster.

In the 40's as a young man and money in his pockets, family stories are Dad was a very good dancer and a ladies man.

Inducted at the age of 29 & 2/12 years.

While in the Army married to Ruth Scott, a few years later things have happen and they divorced.

Some years later while at a club and ready to dance in Palo Alto, Ca. He had met a fair young lady by the name of Mildred " Millie " Wortham, that was there with her mother and step father George Cadwel.

After dating for a few years they were married in Reno NV. on March 20,1948.

Renewed Vows on September 25, 1952
In Holy Matrimony in the Saint Martin's Catholic Church.

They made their home in a trailer for some years while saving money to buy a home. Later buying that home on Bartlett ave; and relocating.

By early 1952 there were no children in the household, going to the Santa Clara County for help seeking a child, and find a very cute little boy that fit just what they wanted. At this time were told they he had a brother and they did not want to spit them up.Nothing like getting
a 2 for 1 !

Fred " Fredie Olaguez & his brother Frank " Frankie " Montez Olaguez , became family. Later on Marc J.Daniluke was born.

Later by 1959 after 7 1/2 years the county came up with new rules and guildlines then decided to take back Freddie & Frankie to place in another home.

By April 1960 Mary E. J. was born in to the family.

Joe & Millie raised the two children and over the years had many dogs along with some other family pets.

Dad, worked for Schuckles Cannery ( Shuckles, later became California Canners & Growers)in Sunnyvale. Where dad retired in1977 after 42 years and not missing a day of work at the age of 62.

Started at the bottom rung in the cannery and through his hard work, was continuously promoted, eventually rising to machinist, plus worked up the ladder to become second in seniority.
