Funeral services for Lola E. Nance were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, 1978, in the First Baptist Church, Summersville, Missouri with the Rev. Chester Miller officiating. A quartet composed of Katherine Bryant, Mary Craig, Joy Grogan and Norma Jo Martin sang, "In The Garden" and "Safe in The Arms of Jesus", accompanied by Loretta Brown on the Piano. Bearers were, Henry Barnes, Glen McCallister, Donald E. Riley, Ervin D. Carpenter, Harold Agee, and Clyde Merritt. Burial was in the Summersville Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt-Hutsell Funeral Home of Mountain Grove, Missouri. Lola E. Nance, Daughter of John A. and Martha McCallister, was born at Summersville, Missouri, December 24, 1885 and departed this life at Mountain Grove, Missouri, April 07, 1978 at the age of 92 Years. She was United in marriage to Ashley Nance October 08, 1905. She lived in or near Summersville all her life except for the last 20 years when she moved to Mountain Grove. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Summersville for many years and upon moving to Mountain Grove transferred her membership to the First Baptist Church of Mountain Grove. She is preceded in death by her husband in August 1955. Survivors include two daughters, Verna Johnson of Mountain View, Missouri, and Pauline Scott of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two brothers, Ralph and Lawrence McCallister; two sisters, Lena Riley and Ella Carpenter all of Summersville, Missouri. Nieces and nephews and many other relatives. She will be sadly missed by her family , other relatives and friends.
