ANAYA -- Mrs. Rafaelita Mares Anaya passed away Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Anaya, Sr.
She is survived by four sons, Salomon Bonney of San Francisco, CA, Larry Anaya and wife, Anita, of Albuquerque, Martin Anaya, Jr. of Sacramento, CA and Rudy Anaya and wife, Patricia, also of Albuquerque; six daughters, Susie Candelaria and husband, Samuel, Edwina Lucero, Angie Marquez and husband, Eloy, Dolores Saavedra and husband, Albert, Loretta Gomez and husband, Elmo, and Belinda Anaya, all of Albuquerque; 31 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Anaya was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Garcia Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Friday from the Garcia Mortuary to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:0 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Larry Anaya, Jr., Alfred Anaya, Ray Lucero, James Marquez, Mark and Jason Gomez. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Candelaria, Eloy Marquez, Elmo Gomez, Albert Saavedra, Eugene Anaya and Michael Marquez. Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The Garcia Mortuary, 8th and Stover SW in charge of service arrangements.
