Mark Wilbur, 68, of Imlay City, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint.

Mark Aaron Wilbur was born on May 18, 1939 in Flint. He was the son of Thomas Irwin and Ethel Elizabeth (Vere) Wilbur.

Mark grew up in Flint, graduating from Flint Central High School. He moved to Imlay City after he retired from the U.S. Air Force.

He married Jampee Kaewpuang on March 30, 1976. Jampee passed away in 1987.

Mark made a career in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 through 1980. He served his country in the Vietnam War.

He worked at Vlasic Foods for 15 years as a hi-low driver.

Mark was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church and North Goodland Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Chritja (Rebeca) Wilbur of Swartz Creek; daughter, Charisa Johnson of Flint; 6 grandchildren, Amanda Wilbur, Michael Wilbur, Tai Marie Johnson, Tarhesia Johnson, Joseph Johnson III, and Melvin LeRoy Tucker Jr.; and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jampee; and his parents, Thomas and Ethel Wilbur.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 12 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City. Reverend Donald Krohn officiated. Burial of cremated remains will be at Imlay Township Cemetery at a later date.
