James Clifton LeRoy, 81, formerly of Fire Tower Road, died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.

Born in Seneca, he was a son of the late Lemuel and Nannie LeRoy. He was retired from Milliken & Company and was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. LeRoy was a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church and was a Mason. He loved animals and enjoyed giving rides on his horse and buggy.

Surviving are his wife, Pauline "Polly" Gossett LeRoy of Countryside Park in Easley; a son, Clifton Donald LeRoy and wife Laura of Seneca; two daughters, Linda Revis, Ann Stone both of Easley; a brother, Eldridge LeRoy of Salem, AL; two sisters, Edna Wright of Seneca, Evelyn Carson of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren, Phillip Reta, Eric Stone, Wayne LeRoy, Heath LeRoy; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers, Clarence, Clinton, Calvin, Clyde, and Claude LeRoy.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from 1 PM until 2 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Alzheimer's Association; 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000; Greenville, SC 29601

The family is at their respective homes.
