Nelda M. (Butler) Striker, 95, of Kittanning Care Center, formerly of Freeport, died Friday, June 2, 2000 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township. She was born March 5, 1905 in Mosgrove to George Calvin and Sarah Anna (Kline) Butler. Survivors include two sons, George R. Striker of South Buffalo Township and Richard A. Striker of Freeport; four grandchildren and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond A. Striker, who died in 1992; one son, Herbert L. Striker, who was killed in action in France during World War II; four brothers; and three sisters.Funeral services will be held Monday, June 5, 2000 at the Redmond Funeral Home, Freeport with the Rev. June Hoyet, assistant pastor of First Baptist Church of Kittanning officiating. Burial will follow in West Glade Run Cemetery, Worthington. Leader Times 6/3/2000
