Bill R. Lovern, 87, of Sallisaw died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, in Sallisaw. He was born July 9, 1922, in the Long community, the son of Wade Ray Lovern and Addie Brewer Lovern. He married Lola Mae Bibb Lovern on Jan. 25, 1942 in Ozark, AR. He was the former vice president of First National Bank of Sallisaw, a member of First Baptist Church of Sallisaw and a veteran of the Coast Guard. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, with burial at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He is survived by his wife, Lola; two daughters, Carolyn Kupsick of Tulsa and Cindy Rogers of Sallisaw; two sons, Wayne Lovern of Chatham, Ill., and Carl Lovern of Sallisaw; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
