Herman Frederick Dock was born Feb. 5, 1895 in Pipestone County to John and Mary Dock. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He served in the United States Armed Forces during World War I. He was united in marriage to Clara Krapf Feb. 25, 1930 at Jasper They farmed in Pipestone County until retiring and moving into Jasper in 1958 where they have made their home. Mr. Dock died Thursday, May 15, at the Pipestone County Hospital. He was 85. Survivors are his wife, Clara; son Edward, Jasper; daughter (Mary) Mrs. Anton Muller of Pipestone; eight grandchildren and two great-=grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William Krapf of the Good Samaritan Village of Pipestone. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one grandchild. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 19 at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Jasper, with Rev. Mark Krueger officiating. Special music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Krapf, vocalists and Steve Dock, organist. Pallbearers were Carl Peterson, Allen Weets, Eugene Witte, Earl Carlson and Oscar Bakke. Interment was in the North Eden Cemetery in rural Jasper. Military rites were given by the Oscar Iverson American Legion Post of Jasper (Foster) Pipestone County Star
