3 Mar 1910
Jacob M. Cooper, aged 85 years,
died Feb. 16. He was born and
raised on Beaver Creek where
he lived until two years ago.
He professed faith in Christ early
in life and united with the Baptist
church to which he was a
consistent member until death.
He told the writer of his conversion
and of his obiding trust in the
goodness of him who cares for us all.
During the two last years of
his stay on this earth he stayed
with his two daughters, Mrs. W.C.
Rector and Mrs F. M. Shearer.
His last days were spent with Mrs.
W. C. Rector, who did all for him that
loving hands could do. But the Lord
saw best to take him from us and we
want to be submissive to, the will
of the Lord.
Grandpa on his death bed said
"Jesus suffered and I must suffer
too" and also said "the Lords
will be done not mine"
His remains were laid beside
his wife in the Old Beaver Creek
Cemetery.
