Deceased Name: James C. Everett Decatur - 1927-2001

James C. Everett, 74, of Decatur, a Korean War U.S. Army veteran, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at home.
The Pleasant Mills native retired in 1989 from Kmart Corp. after 37 years of service. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose 1311. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn; sons Roger L. of Bluffton and Ronald A. and Robert E., both of Decatur; a brother, Coral A. of Union City; sisters Dolly R. Bentz and Jean Rumschlag, both of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney A., a daughter, Deborah S., six brothers and three sisters. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, with calling one hour before services and also from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with an 8 p.m. Moose service. Burial with military graveside services by American Legion Post 43 will be at Mount Tabor Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials are to the Adams Chapter of the American Cancer Society or Northeast Indiana Hospice.
